Day 2 | Rabat & Chefchaouen

Enjoy a leisurely pace today as your private chauffeur drives you through the countryside to the impossibly blue village of Chefchaouen. Enroute you’ll visit Rabat, a charming town with palm lined boulevards and a welcoming medina, where you’ll stop for lunch (own cost).

This afternoon arrive into the surprisingly peaceful enclave of Chefchaouen, where the entire old town is painted in varying shades of blue. No matter which way you turn there’s an Instagram moment waiting to happen. Your guide this evening will show you the best place for dinner (own cost).

Day 3 - Fes

Wander through the blue city this morning and join your guide to watch the local artisans at work – from goat’s butter to honey and handicrafts there’s plenty of choice when souvenir shopping.

After lunch (own cost) you’ll be driven in your private car to Fes and your home for the night at the boutique riad, Palais Amani. Here you will find a great rooftop bar and restaurant featuring seasonal and locally sourced produce.

Day 4 - Fes

A beguiling city of contrasts and contradictions, where a car free urban area sees donkeys deliver produce while visitors stumble across an Aladdin’s Cave of exotic treasures, minarets and artisans’ workplaces.

Today you’ll explore this enchanting city with your private guide. Marvel at the 14^th century architecture of the Medersa Bou Inania, an almost perfect example of Merenid architecture. Walk past the ancient Nejjarine Fountain and into the Medina to explore the city’s souks. Then delve into the fascinating architecture of the Jewish Quarter.

Day 5 | Volubilis & Meknes

Drive through rolling fields to Volubilis. Dating back to 300BC it was once the breadbasket of the Roman empire, today Volubilis is a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lunch and a wine tasting at Château Roslane, a Relais & Châteaux property, will be a real treat.

After lunch continue to Meknes, the Moroccan Versailles built in the Spanish Moorish style, surrounded by huge stone walls punctuated by historic doors. Explore this laid back city before returning to Fes and the luxury of your Riad.

Day 6 | Sahara Desert (Erfoud)

Muse at the unfolding landscapes as your private chauffeur drives south towards the village of Erfoud.

Arriving into this desert oasis town you’ll quickly understand its attraction to filmmakers and photographers. Erfoud is your gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Day 7 | Sahara Desert (Merzouga)

Get set for adventure on your 4WD trip into the surreal landscapes and undulating dunes of the Sahara Desert. Discover the otherworldly terrain and marvel at the enormous dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Having reached Merzouga for a night under the stars, the bright blue sky changes from orange to pink, peach and every colour in between. Submit to the absolute peace and calm of this remote location. After dinner under the stars you’ll be ready to turn in, under the canvas and ensconced in the comfort of your tent.

Day 8 | Ouarzazate

Another day of spectacular scenery awaits on your drive to Ouarzazate including a walk through the Gorges of Todra, colourful rock walls towering over a lush valley.

Step out and take in the scenery with a stroll through the gorges, exploring their seemingly endless depths. Continue to Ouarzazate and authentically Moroccan, Le Berbere Palace. There will be time tomorrow morning to wander around Ouarzazate – with its sensational light and charismatic landscapes you’ll see why it’s a favoured site for filmmakers.

Days 9 & 10 | Atlas Mountains

This morning you’ll be driven to the Atlas Mountains, staying at the uber luxurious Kasbah Tamadot, of Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Collection. Enroute you’ll discover the charming town of Ait Benhaddou.

Arriving at your hotel you’ll be greeted by mint tea and Moroccan pastries. Take time to breathe in the fresh air and extraordinary views from the pool terrace. You may also choose from a range of other activities (some at additional cost) – hike into the mountains, take a Berber cultural tour, or simply indulge in a spa treatment or lounge by the pool.

Days 11 & 13 | Marrakech

Dazzling Marrakech, filled with intrigue, spice and history. Submit to its charms as you twist and turn through the souks.

Join your guide to see Majorelle Gardens, Yves Sain-Laurent Museum, Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace and walk through bustling Djemaa El Fna square.

You’ll also have a full day of independent discovery. Relax with a traditional Hamman and massage; enjoy a Berber cooking class; take to the skies in a hot air balloon; or delve into the markets. (Activities at additional cost.)

Days 14 & 15 | Essaouira

Essaouira is unlike other Moroccan cities. An atmospheric, laid back port city, Essaouira is filled with art, adventure activities and palm lined avenues.

Within its fortified medina you’ll find a myriad of spice laden lanes to discover. Driving from Marrakech this morning you’ll be in time for lunch if freshly cooked fish takes your fancy?

Use your time in Essaouira for relaxation or adventure before returning home – kite surfing is popular as is quad biking and horse riding.
