Day 2 | Rabat & Fes

Enjoy a leisurely pace today as your private chauffeur drives you through the countryside to Fes. But first there’s the charming palm lined boulevards of Rabat to discover. After lunch (own cost) in Rabat’s Medina you’ll continue to the enthralling city of Fes.

Your home for the next three nights is the outstanding Riad Fes. Restored to its former glory and in the heart of the Medina, there’s no finer place to be.

Day 3 | Fes

A beguiling city of contrasts and contradictions, where a car free urban area sees donkeys deliver produce while visitors stumble across an Aladdin’s Cave of exotic treasures, minarets and artisans’ workplaces.

Today you’ll explore this enchanting city with your private guide. Marvel at the 14^th century architecture of the Medersa Bou Inania, an almost perfect example of Merenid architecture. Walk past the ancient Nejjarine Fountain and into the Medina to explore the city’s souks. Then delve into the fascinating architecture of the Jewish Quarter.

Day 4 | Volubilis & Meknes

This morning you’ll be driven through rolling fields to Volubilis. Dating back to 300 BC it was once the breadbasket of the Roman empire, today Volubilis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After working up an appetite exploring the ruins you’re invited in for lunch and wine tasting at Château Roslane, a Relais & Châteaux property.

After a refreshing break continue to Meknes, the Moroccan Versailles built in the Spanish Moorish style, surrounded by huge stone walls punctuated by historic doors. Explore this laid back city before returning to Fes and the luxury of your Riad.

Day 5 | Sahara Desert (Merzouga)

Fly this morning from Fes to the oasis village of Erfoud. After a brief tour around what looks like a Hollywood film set a 4X4 vehicle awaits to spirit you through the largest dunes of the Sahara Desert, Erg Chebbi. This is an otherworldly place of remarkable landscapes. Tonight you sleep amidst it all in a luxury tent.

Before a special dinner under the stars you may wish to take a camel ride to the top of the dunes, where the colours of sunset dance across the sky and feel a peace and calm descend. Erg Chebbi and the Desert Luxury Camp is a special place.

Day 6 | Ouarzazate

Another day of spectacular scenery awaits on your drive to Ouarzazate including a walk through the Gorges of Todra, colourful rock walls towering over a lush valley.

Step out and take in the scenery with a stroll through the gorges, exploring their seemingly endless depths. Continue to Ouarzazate and your delightfully authentic Moroccan hotel, Le Berbere Palace.

Day 7 | Marrakech

Dazzling Marrakech, filled with intrigue, spice and history. Surrender to the city’s charms over the next few days as you twist and turn through the souks.

Before driving to Marrakech you’ll have time to explore Ouarzazate – with its sensational light and charismatic landscapes you’ll see why it’s a favoured site for filmmakers.

Enroute to Marrakech with your private driver and guide you’ll stop for lunch (own cost) overlooking the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, another familiar backdrop to Hollywood movies. Your guide will lead you through this charming village before continuing to Marrakech.

Day 8 | Marrakech

Marrakech is filled with wonderful hotels and for the next three nights you will be in one of the best. La Sultana offers a luxurious hideaway in the middle of the bustling Medina.

Join your private guide on a day of discovery including the Majorelle Gardens, Yves Sain-Laurent Museum, the Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace and more. Your personal guide will also lead you through the bustling Djemaa El Fna square and down its narrow souks.

Day 9 | Marrakech

Today is one for adventure. Start your day early with a hot air balloon ride, watching the sun rise with the Atlas Mountains in the background is a memory you’ll treasure forever.

After your feet land back on the ground you’ll be driven to an eco farm in the Amiziz Valley for a cooking class with the extraordinary Chef Tarik. Drawing on centuries of Berber knowledge, Chef Tarik will show you the fine art of cooking with aromatic herbs from his garden. Enjoy the spoils of your labour under the shade of the trees before returning to Morocco for a free afternoon.

Days 10 & 11 | Atlas Mountains

It’s time to wind back the clock and slow down the pace. Your final two nights in Morocco will be spent amidst the breathtaking landscapes and in ultimate luxury within the Atlas Mountains at the Kasbah Tamadot, from Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Collection.

Arriving at your luxury hotel you’ll be greeted by mint tea and Moroccan pastries. Take the time to breathe in the fresh air and extraordinary views from the pool terrace.
